da betsson: The weekend ends with a much-hyped clash between two old foes. This fixture has historically brought out the worst in both side’s attacking assets, many meetings between the pair have resulted in stalemate. However, the arrival of Fernando Torres at Stamford Bridge from Liverpool gives the meeting an extra edge.
da poker: Torres may well start on the bench to ease the Spaniard into a fixture that may well prove explosive- certainly the reaction of the travelling fans to the former Red could be interesting. David Luiz may also make a first appearance since arriving for Benfica, allow Chelsea’s back line to have a more settled look to it.
Liverpool will hope that Luis Suarez will be ready to make his first start in a red shirt having scored on debut against Stoke in midweek. The much talked about Andy Carroll remains several weeks away from a competitive appearance.
Despite the attacking riches, these two sides have a propensity to cancel each other out, and I expect this to be a slightly anti-climatic stalemate.
Prediction: 0-0
