da betcris: According to Marca, Everton are interested in signing San Lorenzo forward Adolfo Gaich and are prepared to meet the forward’s €15m release clause (£13.3m).
The Argentina Under-20 international is currently starring for his country at the U20 World Cup in Poland, and has already hit three goals at the tournament which appears to have caught the Toffees’ attention.
Standing at a dominant 6 ft 3, Gaich is a true powerhouse of a striker and has also shown the technical ability needed to be a success in the Premier League – Serie A side Genoa are also keen on signing the 20-year-old forward.

The Merseysiders seem keen to inject more youth into their side after the successes of young players such as Richarlison, Jordan Pickford and Lucas Digne; their alleged interest in 19-year-old Juventus striker Moise Kean only reinforces that fact.
It is certainly an encouraging, and exciting thing that Sporting Director Marcel Brands appears to be scouting Europe’s best young talents this summer at the World Cup, but would Gaich be a good signing for Everton?
Football FanCast’s writers have their say on the matter…
Matt Dawson
“It’s difficult to work out whether Gaich would be a good signing given the fact he’s scored just twice in Argentina’s top tier this term. However, with players like this the club will have done their scouting and are sure to recognise the talent he has. At just 20 years of age it’s hardly a risk and would add some much needed depth up front. It would be a shrewd move from the Toffees.”
Luke Glanville
“If Adolfo Gaich is anything like the last young South American Everton signed in Richarlison then this would be an absolute worldie of a transfer. Not a hell of a lot is known in this part of the world about the 20-year-old Argentine under-20 international and not many Toffees fans will have heard of him, so it’s something of a foray into the unknown for the club. But it’s not very likely to be horrifically expensive, so low risk. I think this would be a positive signing.”
Charles Jones
“Adolfo Gaich looked great in the U20 World Cup scoring three goals in four games, but Everton must tread carefully when looking at a player like this. This tournament can be misleading, if you look back at previous U20 WC goal scorers and you see names such as Bence Mervo, Viktor Kovalenko and Ebeneze Assifuah – none of these players are currently household names. His form in the league hasn’t been impressive either so I think they should steer clear this time.”
