da imperador bet: Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson believes that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will give John Terry a rare runout in the final two Premier League games of the season as the defender prepares to wave goodbye to the Blues.
da lvbet: The Italian coach can afford to tinker around with his team given that they are already English champions.
The West London outfit got the job done last Friday by sealing a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion, giving them an unassailable seven-point lead.
Terry has had to watch his teammates’ success from the sidelines having made just four league starts and 12 appearances in all competitions so far.
With the title race wrapped up, Thompson believes that Terry will feature either against Watford on Monday night or on the final day of the season at home to Sunderland on Sunday.
The pundit told Sky Sports:
“I think John will probably play in one of the two games. It is nice having two weeks rest but sometimes a little bit of rustiness can set in and I think he will have a plan, Conte, he won’t want to take it easy tonight. He will be up for this and want to finish on a high.”
Terry, who has won 14 major honours at Chelsea, will pull the curtain down on a 22-year association with the club at the end of the season.
The defender is already ending his Blues career with the Premier League trophy, but he may also have an FA Cup winners’ medal to take home if Chelsea defeat Arsenal in the Wembley showdown.
