da brwin： The injury curse strikes again. Since arriving from Villareal in a £30m deal back in the summer of 2016, Eric Bailly has had some rather wretched luck with injuries.
The Ivory Coast international has been beset with both short-term and long-term setbacks throughout his United career, and often at the worst possible times.
Now, after going down with an injury within just ten minutes of coming on a substitute against Tottenham in pre-season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Bailly’s problem didn’t look too great.
After hearing the news of the latest potential setback suffered by the 25-year-old, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the matter and many were seemingly frustrated.
Supporters of the Manchester side insisted that now was the time for Bailly to be let go from the club and felt that his injury record meant he simply couldn’t sustain being a first-team regular.
Some suggested that Bailly’s injury gave United even more reason to go out and sign a centre-back in the summer transfer window and hoped that it would lead them to finally getting Harry Maguire.
