da esoccer bet: Liverpool have only a slim chance of winning the Premier League title this term and should instead focus on another top four finish, according to Anfield hero Steve McMahon.
da casino: The Reds finished just two points off of champions Manchester City in second place last term, with an inspired run of form in 2014 almost yielding English football’s top prize for the first time in 24 years.
Even with the sale of talisman Luis Suarez for £75m the club were expected to challenge the Sky Blues and fellow favourites Chelsea at the top end once again this term, yet Brendan Rodgers’ side have made a stuttering start to the campaign.

And McMahon – who made over 200 appearances for the Merseysiders in his playing days – believes that his old side should forget about a title push and look to ensure that they remain a Champions League club:
“There’s massive pressure on Brendan Rodgers. He can only do better by winning the league.” He told talkSPORT. “Coming second [last season] was obviously magnificent but, for me, a successful season for Liverpool will be to qualify for the Champions League again. They have to do that. We don’t want it to be a one season wonder.
“They have done a lot of hard work to get themselves back into the Champions League and it’s important to stay there. And at the moment they’re struggling.
“Last year they had a free run at it and could afford to rest players during the week while other teams were battling on all fronts. Liverpool have now got to do that and they’re finding it difficult.
“I don’t expect them to get close to winning the league this season, not by a long chalk. Chelsea and Manchester City are way above any of the teams in the league, but a top four finish would be a success.
“Champions League football is a must.”
