The Spurs defender’s finger went disturbingly deep into Firmino’s eye, and Klopp says he does not know if the Brazilian will play.
“No idea, to be honest. He is much better. We all saw the picture and we were massively worried. But all these worries are away so he will be fine,” Klopp said.
“If he will be fine for tomorrow, I don’t know in the moment.”
The Reds’ electric front three tore Europe apart last season, and Firmino is the glue that holds it all together, forming an absolutely lethal partnership with Salah in the later stages of last year’s competition.
Fans are worried about facing the best team in their group without their favourite Brazilian, while others are already discussing how to replace him.
