The teenager has certainly made a quick impression for the Merseyside outfit and it was his impressive second-half finish that gave his side the lead against the Eagles, before Divock Origi sealed the win late on.
Liverpool supporters were quick to have their say on the performance of Solanke via social media, and they were full of praise for the youngster.
While some said he was better than Romelu Lukaku and Alexandre Lacazette – who have joined Manchester United and Arsenal respectively this summer – others feel that he is already displaying signs of being a “world-class” striker.
