da apostaganha: Both Arsenal and Spurs have started the Premier League season decently. Arsenal were defeated in their first match but have recouped seven points from a possible nine since then.
da roleta: Spurs, on the other hand, remain undefeated. However, their performances have been slightly flat, especially in their 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Both sides had very interesting transfer windows with Spurs signing Moussa Sissoko for £30m whilst Arsenal bought former Everton defender Shkodran Mustafi for £34m.
However, in Spurs’ case, I think they could have done with a few of Arsenal’s stars – if that was a possibility.
It’s a very rare commodity to see a player move from Arsenal to Spurs and vice versa, though.
When you see the way Spurs fans treated Sol Campbell, it’s not all that surprising.
The North London sides are the bitterest of rivals and to move from one to the other would make you a complete traitor and enemy No.1.
However, we think these FIVE players would be better off at White Hart Lane.
Calum Chambers
The young centre-back is still not established in Arsenal’s first team.
When he first signed, there were big hopes for Chambers but things haven’t quite materialised as they had planned. He played in Arsenal’s 4-3 opening day defeat at home to Liverpool and is readily criticised by Arsenal fans.
Mauricio Pochettino is great at helping young English youth and will be aware of Chambers from his Southampton days. We think he could improve if he made the move to White Hart Lane.
Aaron Ramsey
Ramsey hasn’t quite found the form he showed during the 13/14 season where he won the player of the month in September.
He was scoring goals galore and helping his team mates out across the pitch.
He’s still a very good player, and one that Arsene Wenger really likes.
However, we think he could come on leaps and bounds if he joined Spurs and would give them some fresh impetus.
Santi Cazorla
We don’t see this transfer happening any time soon but Cazorla would fit well into a Spurs team.
He would bring a certain class, similar to Christian Eriksen, but we think Cazorla brings slightly more on the defensive side of things.
He pulls the strings from midfield and is a very tidy player. We think he could have been great at Spurs.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
This is the one I’m most convinced about.
Oxlade-Chamberlain always shows so much promise but has yet to deliver consistently.
He has pace in abundance. He is creative and loves taking people on with the ball. However, he has somewhat stagnated at Arsenal. He has never fulfilled his true potential and if anyone could wring that consistency out of him, it would be Pochettino.
Spurs are crying out for a bit of flare on the wing and Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a prefect fit. His game would improve, too.
Theo Walcott
Similarly to Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott has somewhat stagnated since scoring goals galore during the 12/13 season. He was deployed as a striker and signed a new contract at Arsenal.
However, since then, Walcott simply hasn’t taken off. He has loads of pace and can finish but he isn’t known for offering much else.
Those attributes are exactly what Spurs need, though. They don’t have that much pace and Kane linking up with Walcott is a frightening partnership indeed.
Unfortunately, we can’t see many of these transfers happening anytime soon!
