Serge Aurier continues to emerge as one of Tottenham Hotspur’s best players this season.
On the chalkboard
The right-back was again in impressive form as Spurs beat Norwich City 2-1 on Wednesday evening.
Per WhoScored, the Ivory Coast international was the best player on the pitch throughout the game, earning an 8 rating.
Not only did he lay on the assist for Dele Alli’s opening goal, but Aurier also had one shot on goal, touched the ball 75 times, registered three key passes and completed three dribbles.

Aurier also managed to make three successful tackles, winning 100% of the challenges he attempted and making two interceptions.
The former PSG man was never dribbled past and was not dispossessed, either.
Best of the bunch
While Giovani Lo Celso was the subject of the adoration of fans throughout the game, Aurier was perhaps the most important player on the pitch.
He got up and down the right flank continually and was able to effectively limit the threat of Todd Cantwell.
Indeed, while the Norwich man had four shots on goal, two were from range and none were on target.
This was an exceptionally assiduous performance from Aurier, then, as he impacted the game well in the final third and also played a key role in limiting Norwich’s threat.
Per WhoScored, he has not dipped below a 7 rating in the Premier League since December, when Spurs beat Wolves 2-1.
That comes to seven games of pure consistency; he is one of the most important players in Mourinho’s squad.
Meanwhile, one image should shock Daniel Levy into transfer action!
