da apostaganha: On so many occasions, new managers come into a club and try to improve matters by jumping into the transfer market.
da casino: It remains to be seen whether Sam Allardyce will take this approach in January at Everton, but former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has advised him against it.
The experienced coach was appointed as manager on an 18-month deal last week and he got off to a positive start by overseeing a 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town.
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were the scorers on the day as the team secured back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time this season.
Allardyce has a bigger test against Liverpool this Sunday, but the team will head to Anfield with some much-needed confidence.
It is safe to say that not all of the Toffees’ summer signings have impressed at Goodison Park – Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen are among them, while Michael Keane has also faced criticism.
Redknapp, though, thinks that it is important that Allardyce sticks with the team that he has rather than brings in a load of new faces next month.
In a piece for the Daily Mail, Redknapp wrote:
“It would be a big mistake for Allardyce to splash the cash and make quick-fix, short-term signings in January. Everton have some exciting young players and can look forward to an injection of pace when Yannick Bolasie returns from injury. Allardyce should be looking to get the best from Everton’s young stars.”
