da betobet: West Ham United midfielder Robert Snodgrass is to be offered a new contract at the club, ClaretandHugh reports.
What’s the word?
da brwin: The Hammers midfielder has been an integral member of the club’s squad this season, making 26 appearances in all competitions.
Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings….
He has scored five goals in that time, while also registering five assists, and the report states that the Hammers have the option to extend his deal should they so wish.
And that offer will be forthcoming in the coming weeks, as the Hammers move to tie down the 32-year-old.
Currently, the Scot has over a year to run down on his contract, but it appears the Hammers are keen to extend that even further.
An incredible turnaround
Snodgrass was on loan at Hull City as recently as the 2017-18 season.
Manuel Pellegrini’s appointment as manager, though, saw him brought back into the fold, making 38 appearances last season. He went on to score four goals and lay on nine assists in all competitions, before playing 26 times this term.
A Scotland international, he has become one of the most important members of the squad.
Throughout this season, he has missed just five league games, with one through suspension, and his versatility is a boon to manager David Moyes, given that he can play on both flanks and through attacking midfield.
He has also been in good form of late too, scoring twice and registering an assist against Brighton. He also supplied a goal versus Liverpool.
This is a remarkable turnaround if he manages to put pen to paper.
Meanwhile, West Ham have an “astonishing” talent in their youth ranks!
